Welcome to Hasland Hall
I am very privileged to be Headteacher of Hasland Hall Community School and it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to what might be your first insight in to the school’s aims and achievements.
We are very proud of our students, our staff and the partnerships we have developed with parents, our primary schools and the community. We firmly believe that the commitment to meeting students’ individual needs and achieving success is a shared responsibility. We are unmoving in our belief in young people’s capacity to achieve, promoting and building on the optimism and hope that every parent feels for the next generation, seeking continuous improvement and ensuring that parents and the wider community accompany us on the journey.
Our purposeful, ordered environment and the enriching nature of the learning, where students have the opportunity to discover, analyse, create and reflect, enables student to flourish and achieve their best. We are excited by what the future holds for Hasland Hall Community School and welcome students, parents and the community to join us as we share our aspirations, values and success.

Year 7 Parents’ Evening provides parents with a valuable opportunity to speak to teachers about their son/daughter’s progress. We would, therefore, ask that all parents attend. Students will be booking appointment times for their parents between 4.15pm and 7pm. If for particular reasons, you are unable to attend, please contact the school to arrange an alternative time to discuss your son/daughter’s progress.
Year 6 students are visiting Hasland Hall for the day on Tuesday 4 July, prior to starting Year 7 in September. Students will spend the day meeting their Tutor, getting to know others in their Tutor group, asking questions, being shown around the school site and experiencing a variety of lessons. A letter, with the timing and details has been sent to each Year 6 student.
During the evening parents of students joining Year 7 in September attend an evening event. This provides an excellent opportunity for parents to hear about the school’s expectations, meet with senior staff and their son/daughter’s Tutor and view resources and samples of uniform. The evening starts at 7pm and finishes with refreshments served at around 8pm.
