Year 7 Team Building Day – Autumn Term 2016
All 172 Year 7 students at Hasland Hall were well and truly inducted into their new Tutor groups on a recent Team Building day. They were divided into seven groups and, after team ball-games at Grassmoor Country Park, each group walked with their Tutor on a large loop of the Five Pits Trail.
With new friends to make and the competition of a sight-seeing quiz, the two hours to lunch passed quickly. Arrival in Holmewood saw more team games led by members of the PE department.
The afternoon brought more challenges before the group headed back past Williamthorpe and Wolfie Ponds to a slightly damp Country Park for a game of Extreme Frisbee.
Each Tutor group has now completed an assembly presentation on the fun they had, the things they learned and the friends they made.

We would like to invite parents of all children currently in Year 5 and Year 6 to attend our Open Evening on Wednesday 27 September between 6pm and 8pm. Choosing a secondary school for your son/daughter is an important decision and this evening should provide the information you will need.
During the evening there will be an opportunity to look round Hasland Hall, to meet staff in the different teaching areas and to listen to a short presentation from the Headteacher.
