New York February Half-Term 2015
During February half-term, a group of Year 10 and Year 11 students went on what was unanimously voted, the “trip of a lifetime” to the Big Apple! The trip was led by Mr Sutcliffe and other members of the Design Department.
Highlights of the trip included: Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Centre, Hard Rock Café, a trip to a basketball game in Newark, a boat trip round Manhattan taking in the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero Memorial Museum, Fifth Avenue and the New York Metropolitan Museum. Both students and staff reported a very enjoyable week.

The Community Craft Club meets every Thursday from 6.00pm in the School dining room. The aim is to bring together people from the community who would like to share the enjoyment of crafting. They are currently undertaking a variety of craft projects which will lead to a sale for charity.

A Community Choir meets every Tuesday from 7.00pm to 8.30pm in the Music block at the school. The aim is to bring together people from the community who would like to share the enjoyment of singing together.
