Living for Sport – Spring Term 2016
On Thursday 14 January, the school was fortunate enough to have a visit from international volleyball player Maria Bertelli as part of the ‘Living for Sport’ Programme. After an inspirational assembly for Year 7, Maria worked with 30 students ranging from Year 8 to Year 11. Maria led workshops focussed on developing valuable life skills.
The students explored each area through practical tasks and team building games. The day culminated in a volleyball session where our gifted and talented Year 10 students demonstrated a fantastic ability to learn skills quickly and finished with a highly competitive game of volleyball.
Well done to all the students who took part who were a credit to themselves and the school and we look forward to another visit from Maria later in the year.
