Year 7 Team Building Day – Autumn Term 2016
All 172 Year 7 students at Hasland Hall were well and truly inducted into their new Tutor groups on a recent Team Building day. They were divided into seven groups and, after team ball-games at Grassmoor Country Park, each group walked with their Tutor on a large loop of the Five Pits Trail.
With new friends to make and the competition of a sight-seeing quiz, the two hours to lunch passed quickly. Arrival in Holmewood saw more team games led by members of the PE department.
The afternoon brought more challenges before the group headed back past Williamthorpe and Wolfie Ponds to a slightly damp Country Park for a game of Extreme Frisbee.
Each Tutor group has now completed an assembly presentation on the fun they had, the things they learned and the friends they made.

The Community Craft Club meets every Thursday from 6.00pm in the School dining room. The aim is to bring together people from the community who would like to share the enjoyment of crafting. They are currently undertaking a variety of craft projects which will lead to a sale for charity.

A Community Choir meets every Tuesday from 7.00pm to 8.30pm in the Music block at the school. The aim is to bring together people from the community who would like to share the enjoyment of singing together.
